GBCA Garden Party 2015
As part of World Green Building Week, the Green Building Council of Australia are hosting their annual Garden Party on Thursday, 24 September 2015 to celebrate this year's achievements in the industry. It's the green building networking event of the year.
Elyptol now certified with GECA
GECA is pleased to welcome our newest licensee, Elyptol™, under GECA’s latest standard for Personal Care Products. Elyptol’s products meet GECA’s strict criteria for lower environmental, health and social impacts.
Elyptol’s antimicrobial moisturising hand sanitiser products are made from naturally derived ingredients and can be used by consumers and professionals.
GECA to revise Furniture standards
GECA is starting the process of revising its Furniture & Fittings Level B standard (FFv2.0i-2006 mod 2010) as it has reached its validity date, and must be revised according to the GECA Scheme Rules. Due to overlap between the criteria of this standard and the Furniture Fittings & Foam Level A standard (FFFv2.1i-2010), both will be revised simultaneously.

Creating foam products with the environment in mind isn’t always an easy task. However, Joyce Foam is tackling the issue by using Variable Pressure Foam (VPF) technology at their production facility. This drastically reduces air emissions and solidifies Joyce Foam’s commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing.
New licensee: modulyss
GECA is pleased to welcome modulyss as one of our newest licensees! modulyss designs and produces modular carpet tiles for the contract market and now has a range of offerings certified under GECA’s Carpets standard, demonstrating a lower environmental, health and social impact.
New licensee: Moroso
Italian furniture designers Moroso have recently gained GECA certification for a range of their designs. In Australia, Moroso is sold exclusively through Hub Furniture, alongside fellow GECA licensees Lowe Furniture. Both are certified under GECA’s Furniture, Fittings & Foam standard, representing a better and more ethical choice for the environment and human health.

GECA is pleased to have become a member of The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), a US-based global organisation of diverse participants working collaboratively to build a scientific foundation to improve the sustainability of consumer products.

2015 Banksia Awards open for entries

The Banksia Awards are run by the not-for-profit Banksia Foundation, which works with community and industry to promote positive contributions to the environment.
