Description of the
Technology.
Xypex currently has distribution and sales offices throughout Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.
Xypex C-1000-NF is used for concrete waterproofing, protection and improvement. Xypex C-1000NF is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching.
Xypex C-5000 is used to enhance the durability of reinforced concrete exposed to aggressive conditions. Xypex C-5000 is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching.
Ecotec
is an additive which enhances the strength performance and bonding properties of concrete.
Ecotec is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching.
2. The Products
Xypex C-1000-NF: Chemical treatment for concrete waterproofing and protection.
Xypex C-5000: Chemical treatment specially formulated to enhance the durability of reinforced concrete.
Ecotec: Concrete additive which enhances strength performance and bonding properties of the concrete.

Fitness for Purpose |
These Xypex Australia products
meet their relevant Australian standards. Both of the admix
products meet the requirements of AS1478.1-2000 and the silica
fume additive meets the requirements of AS3583. |

Material Requirements |
Xypex Australia meets the
requirements of this criterion. It has provided evidence that
protective measures have been implemented that eliminate the
pathway of exposure to hazardous materials. |

Environmental Load Reduction |
These Xypex products have been
through a life cycle assessment and the results show that these
products do have a minimum 30 % environmental load reduction and
therefore meet the requirements of this criterion. |

Packaging Requirements |
Xypex provides information on the
intended use of the product and instructions for correct use and
storage. This information is available on packaging and in
brochures. |

3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:
GECA also found the Xypex range to
be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour,
Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company
has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to
compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety
regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24
months.
