Description of the
Technology.
Thermoshield Australia specialise in the manufacture of liquid thermal insulation coatings. Thermoshield also produces a range of water proofing membranes, exterior paints, render and wet texture coatings.
Thermoshield is a Victorian based company, with contractual and retail sales history. The company was founded in 1997 and has since established distributors in Dubai, Malaysia, Iraq and Australia (Victoria and Queensland), with the possibility of opening up in other states soon.

Thermoshield Liquid Thermal Insulation has been
in use for the past 20 years. This product has been tested in
accordance with ASTM C518-85. In addition Thermoshield Australia
offers a 10 year warranty for this product. |

Thermoshield Liquid Thermal
Insulation contains less than 70 grams per litre of volatile
organic compounds. |

Titanium Dioxide Levels |
Using the recommended application
rate of two coats, Thermoshield Liquid Thermal Insulation
results in a titanium dioxide content of less than 40 grams per
square metre. |

Glycol Ethers |
Thermoshield Liquid Thermal
Insulation does not contain any of the glycol ethers prohibited
by GECA 23-2005. |

Heavy Metals |
No heavy metals are intentionally
added to Thermoshield Liquid Thermal Insulation. |

Packaging |
The packaging of Thermoshield
Liquid Thermal Insulation is marked with resin identification
codes which indicate that the material is recyclable (category
5). |

Carcinogenic Substances |
No class 1 or 2A carcinogens are
used in the formulation of Thermoshield Liquid Thermal
Insulation. |

Restricted Substances |
No APEOs are added to Thermoshield
Liquid Thermal Insulation during production. |

Use of Ozone depleting Substances
in Industrial Solvents and Cleaning Agents |
Thermoshield Liquid Thermal
Insulation does not contain any substances listed under Annex A,
B or C of the Montreal Protocol or prohibited by GECA 23-2005. |

Solvents |
It has been concluded following a review of the
ingredients for this product that no aromatic hydrocarbon
solvents, halogenated solvents or ethylene glycols are added to
Thermoshield Liquid Thermal Insulation during production. |

3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:
GECA also found the Thermoshield range to
be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour,
Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company
has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to
compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety
regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24
months.
