Description of the
Technology.
The Studform processing plant based in regional South East of South Australia will enhance the competitiveness and effective distribution of products to capital centres through its strategic location base of equal distance between Adelaide and Melbourne. The Studform plant is committed to manufacturing products at target with minimum variability using controlled systems built upon principles of prevention, in-process control and continuous improvement.

Fitness for Purpose |
Studform Pty Ltd has quality
control measures in place and maintains a quality management
system in accordance with ISO 9001. These nominated products are
covered with a commercial five year warranty with the exception
of the ceiling system which is covered with a ten year warranty. |

Timber and Other Natural Materials |
Studform Pty Ltd source their
timber products from several suppliers, GECS has confirmed all
of these companies have current FSC certification. |

Treatment |
GECS has confirmed that these
nominated Studform Pty Ltd products are not treated or
impregnated with any insecticides or fungicides classified as
type 1 or 2A for carcinogenicity by the IARC. |

Air Emissions |
The nominated Studform Pty Ltd
products that contain timber components have been tested for
their volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. The test
results indicate that the VOC emissions are within the allowable
limits as stated for this criterion. |

Adhesives |
Studform Pty Ltd use several
adhesives to manufacture these nominated products and GECS has
confirmed that the adhesives in use are compliant to the
requirements of this criterion. |
|
Hazardous Materials |
GECS has confirmed that no
hazardous or prohibited substances restricted under the
corresponding criteria are used or added to these products
during their manufacturing processes, this includes the cleaning
of the production equipment. |

Separability |
It has been demonstrated to GECS
that with the exception of the fire doors these nominated
products can be disassembled without the use of specialised
tools or expertise. The fire doors are constructed in such a way
so as to minimise the spread of fire and as a result are not
made to be disassembled, see Product Custodianship. |

Product Custodianship |
Studform Pty Ltd has a product
custodianship policy in place and will accept certified products
at their end of life for recycling at no additional cost accept
for transportation. |

Coatings and Treatments |
GECS has confirmed that these
nominated Studform Pty Ltd products are not treated or coated in
any way that would prevent their post consumer recycling. |

Replacement Parts |
Replacement parts for these
nominated products subject to wear are available for at least
five years as stated in the Studform Pty Ltd commercial
warranty. |

Packaging Requirements |
These Studform Pty Ltd products
are transported with recyclable cardboard boxes and plastic
packaging. The plastic is not halogenated and maybe recycled in
mainstream recovery facilities. |

products are delivered with literature that discusses correct
use, storage, maintenance and recycling instructions. |

3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:
GECA also found the Studform range to
be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour,
Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company
has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to
compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety
regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24
months.
