1. Description of the
Technology.
The Australian HRV network has its head office located in Melbourne and there are currently 26 HRV Franchises operating across Australia and New Zealand.
2. The Products
HRV System: Energy efficient home ventilation.
The HRV system comprises of a fan and filter enclosed in metal box and is installed in the Apex of the homes roof cavity. Digital sensors located in the system in the roof and within a controller in the centre of the house determine the temperature differential between the two. The HRV system then calculates how much air to deliver into the home, through a network of ducting into each room, to contribute to the homes heating or cooling requirements in order to achieve a set (or desirable) temperature. A hospital grade filtration media, housed after the fan motor, ensures the risk of dust and pollens entering are greatly reduced.

GECS has received test reports
including positive customer feedback and an external audit
report demonstrating the quality and market suitability of this
product. In addition this product has a warranty of three years. |

The HRV system has been through a
life cycle assessment and the results calculated by Simapro 7.0
shows that HRV systems does have the minimum 30 % environmental
load reduction. |

HRV has provided evidence that
protective measures have been implemented and the pathway of
exposure to hazardous materials does not exist. |

Post Consumer Recycling |
This product is not coated or
treated in any way that would prevent post consumer recycling. |

Packaging Requirements |
The packaging material of this
nominated product is recyclable and does not contain any
hazardous material. The available product information
sufficiently covers correct use, care and recycling
instructions. |

3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:
GECA also found HRV to
be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour,
Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company
has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to
compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety
regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24
months.
