Diami is active in Australia and New Zealand and their products can be found in countless amounts of successful companies, organizations and in home offices.

Core Environmental Performance Characteristics
Fitness for Purpose Diami is certified according to AS/ANZ ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System for the design, manufacture and supply of these products. The nominated products carry a 5 year warranty from the date of delivery of the products to the customer.
Controversial Timber Sources Diami sources its timber from a FSC approved supplier meeting the requirements of this criterion.
Salvaged and Reclaimed Timbers Diami does not use any recycled or reclaimed timbers in its products.
Treatment The wood products used in these chairs has not been treated or impregnated with any hazardous chemicals as listed in the standard for this criterion.
Glues in Plywood and Laminated Wood The formaldehyde test reports provided by Diami demonstrate that the processed wood components of these products do not exceed the limits for formaldehyde emissions as described in the standards for this criterion.
Air Emissions The formaldehyde test reports provided by Diami demonstrate that the processed wood components of these products do not exceed the limits for formaldehyde emissions as described in the standards for this criterion.
Resin Identification Codes All plastic components of this furniture weighing above 100g are labeled with resin identification codes. Diami is compliant with this criterion.
Padding Material No latex is used in the manufacturing of these products; Diami is compliant with this criterion.
Polyurethane Padding Requirements The foam used in these products does not contain any of the listed hazardous substances as described in the furniture and fittings standard.
Fabrics The manufacturer has acknowledged and the license conditions stipulate that only fabrics assessed according to the relevant Environmental Choice Australia Standard requirements can be used in certified furniture. This includes textiles certified as compliant to the Environmental Choice Australia Mark, Nordic Swan, EU Flower, or those that have been assessed in the scope of this assessment and found to be in conformance with the relevant criteria in the GECA Furniture and Fittings Standard.
Glass No glass is used the nominated Diami products.
Adhesives Diami uses a water based low VOC adhesive, this product has been investigated by GECS and found to be compliant with the requirements of this criterion.
Overall Loads GECS can confirm that based on the evidence provided, none of the listed hazardous materials are contained in any of these Diami products.
Prohibited Substances Apart from an exempt small component subject to heavy physical wear GECS can confirm that based on the evidence provided no other prohibited substances are contained in or used for the manufacture of these Diami products.
Separability GECS is advised that disassembly instructions are available upon request for all the nominated products.
Product Custodianship Upon request Diami will accept back unwanted furniture items for recycling at no additional cost to the consumer apart from the transport.
Coatings/Treatments These products are not coated or treated in any way that would prevent post consumer recycling.
Replacement Parts Replacement parts are available for at least seven years from product launch.
Recycled Furniture No recycled furniture is used in the manufacturing of these nominated products.
Packaging Requirements These products are packaged in recyclable plastic and cardboard and therefore meet the requirements of this criterion.
Product Information The product information consumers are provided with discusses warranty terms, instructions for use, care, storage, maintenance and end of life recycling.

        3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:

 

GECA also found the Diami range to be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour, Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24 months.
