Technology.
Boral Limited is Australia's largest building and construction materials supplier in Australia, and has significant operations in the USA and in Asia. Boral has over 15,900 employees working across 717 operating sites. Boral primarily serves customers in the building and construction industries with operations concentrated in three key geographical markets - Australia, the USA and Asia.

Fitness for Purpose |
These nominated Boral Australian
Gypsum Ltd products are manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008
certified facility. Boral Australian Gypsum Ltd tests these
products internally for quality control in an NATA accredited
laboratory. These products are covered with a seven year
warranty when supplied and installed by Boral Plasterboard. |

Timber and Other Natural Materials |
The cellulose fibres contained in
these products is sourced from 100% recycled paper. The starch
contained in these products has not been produced from
genetically modified organisms. |

Paper Processing |
No bleaching chemicals, chlorine
or chlorides are used in the manufacturing of these Boral
Australian Gypsum Ltd products. |
|
Gypsum |
These nominated Boral Australian
Gypsum Ltd products are not formulated or manufactured with
Phosphogypsum meeting the requirements of this criterion. |
|
Adhesives |
The adhesive used in these
products is water based and is classified as nonhazardous
according to the criteria of NOHSC. No carcinogenic material is
contained in the adhesive used in these products. |

Coatings and Treatments |
GECS has determined that the paper
covering on these products does not prevent its post consumer
recycling. It is separated from the plaster board and processed
by a licensed company. |

Hazardous Materials |
GECS has determined that no
hazardous or prohibited substances are used or added to these
products during their manufacturing. |
|
Possible Radioactive Sources |
Samples of these products have
been tested by the CSIRO for radioactivity and it was found that
the radiation was not above background levels. |
|
Recycled Content Requirements |
GECS has determined that these
nominated Boral Australian Gypsum Ltd products contain a
recycled content that is above the minimum requirements as
stated in the requirements for this criterion. |
|
Waste Minimisation |
Damaged boards from manufacturing,
transport or customer returns are evaluated and either re-cut
and sold as a smaller boards or separated into their constituent
materials and recycled. The manufacturing facilities for these
products capture rain water and recycle processed water,
reducing the amount of potable water used during their
manufacturing. |

Product Custodianship |
Boral Australian Gypsum Ltd have a
product custodianship policy in place, they will accept these
products at their end of life for recycling. |
|
Packaging Requirements |
These Enviro products are packaged
on wooden pallets which are re-used whenever possible. |
|
Product Information |
Boral Australian Gypsum Ltd has a
Plasterboard Product Manual (PB102) available for these Enviro
products. This document covers instructions for use,
installation, maintenance, cleaning, repair, storage and
recycling. |

Boral Australian Gypsum Ltd
adheres to the relevant environmental regulations with the
exception of one incident in the past 24 months. The company has
provided evidence of corrective action with regards to this
incident. |
