Technology.
In 1997 Arper attained ISO 9001 certification for quality management and in 2006 acheived ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

Fitness for Purpose |
Arper s.p.a. has been certified
according to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System for the
design, manufacture and supply of these products. The nominated
products carry a 5 year warranty from the date of delivery. |

Timber and Other Natural Materials |
The nominated products do not
contain timber and therefore this criterion is not applicable. |

Resin Identification Codes |
Resin identification codes are
clearly printed on the plastic components that weigh over 100g
in the nominated products. |

Polyurethane Padding Requirements |
GECS has confirmed that no
prohibited or restricted substances are added or used during the
manufacturing of these products. |

Fabrics |
The nominated products that Arper
s.p.a. have submitted do not contain fabric and therefore this
criterion is not applicable. |

Adhesives |
No adhesives are used in the
construction of these nominated products and therefore this
criterion is not applicable. |

Hazardous Materials |
Gecs has confirmed that no
hazardous substances are added or used in the manufacturing of
these nominated products that are above the limits given in
Annex II of the Decision 2005/673/EC of September 20th (amending
Annex II of Directive 2000/53/EC). Furthermore no prohibited
substances were found to be present in these products. |

Separability |
It has been confirmed that these
nominated Arper s.p.a. products are able to be disassembled into
their constituent components with out the use of specialised
tools or expertise. |

Product Custodianship |
Stylecraft, the major distributer
in Australia for Arper s.p.a. accepts ownership of the certified
products at their end of life for recycling. They can be
returned at no additional cost to the consumer apart from
transportation. |

Coatings and Treatments |
GECS has confirmed that these
certified Arper s.p.a. products are not coated or treated in any
way that would prevent post consumer recycling. |

Replacement Parts |
Replacement parts are covered
under the Arper s.p.a. conditional five year warranty. |
|
Packaging Requirements |
These products are packaged in
recyclable cardboard and non halogenated plastic that can be
recycled in mainstream recovery facilities. |

Product Information |
These products are delivered with
product information that covers correct use and maintenance. The
product custodianship policy deals with recycling instructions
sufficiently. |

3. Environmental and Social Regulatory Obligations:
GECA also found the Arper range to
be fully compliant with their obligations under Labour,
Anti-Discrimination, and Safety Regulations. The company
has not been the subject of prosecution in relation to
compliance with labour, anti- discrimination, safety
regulations and environmental regulations in the past 24
months.
