Have your say on GECA's new refrigerants standard
A new draft standard for refrigerants from Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) is now available for public comment.
GECA’s Refrigerants standard has been updated, with revised criteria to set new environmental benchmarks and reflect industry changes. GECA welcomes comments on the standard from the public and industry professionals until 26 December.
Spotlight: Gregory Commercial Furniture
Gregory Commercial Furniture was established in 1988 by Peter Gregory, a practicing physiotherapist. Comfortable, ergonomic design is at the core of all their furniture, coupled with high-quality manufacturing processes. Several of their products are certified under GECA's Furniture and Fittings standard.
New products from Koskela
Furniture producer Koskela has recently added a range of new items to their list of GECA certified products. New environmentally-preferable partitions, tables, workstations, sofa and ottomans are now available with the GECA tick of approval, with all products meeting the requirements of the Furniture and Fittings standard.

New Products from Gregbar Office Furniture
GECA licensee Gregbar Office Furniture has recently added three new items to its list of certified products. The Eco Mobile Pedestals, Eco Caddys and Eco Tambour Door Cupboard have all met the requirements of the Furniture and Fittings standard.
How hazardous is the chrome on your furniture?
In the context of furniture, the term “chrome” usually refers to a thin layer of electroplated chromium applied to a surface. It is highly durable, extremely hard and highly resistant to rust. Unfortunately, there are some significant hazards to both the environment and human health where the use of chrome is concerned.
GECA releases new adhesives standard
GECA is pleased to announce the release of its newest standard for Adhesives, Fillers and Sealants, which now covers a wider variety of products and sets a new environmental benchmark for the industry.
